Taste of Australia with Adam Liaw

Experience a Taste of Australia at Greenbelt 3 Park on Saturday, 27 April as the Australian Embassy brings to Manila Adam Liaw, Australian TV presenter, author and MasterChef Australia winner.

The outdoor festival will showcase Australia’s culinary culture and the best Australian products available in the Philippines.

Australian Ambassador Steve J Robinson AO says, “Australians and Filipinos share a love of food, and food brings people together.  The diversity of food available in Australia reflects Australia’s multiculturalism. Taste of Australia is a celebration of this diversity.

Taste of Australia also tells the unique story of Australian- made and grown products.

Australian fine food reflect the pristine environment and high standards of food safety in Australia. It’s a pleasure to be able to share some of that with Filipinos at this festival.”

The afternoon program will include a talk and cooking demonstration by Adam Liaw.     Filipino foodies will get a chance to meet the Australian culinary star and MasterChef winner and learn how to create simple, delicious meals for families.

Cheer on young Filipino chefs who will be competing to be the inaugural Taste of Australia Cook-Off Master.  In celebration of Filipino food month, the competing chefs will prepare Filipino dishes using Australian products.  Adam will be joined in the judges’ panel by Filipino celebrity chef JP Anglo, who trained in Le Cordon Bleu in Sydney, and celebrated restaurateur Chef Jessi Sincioco.

The Taste of Australia festival will also feature an outdoor market where visitors can shop and sample Australian food and beverage.  Visitors will also get a chance to win Australian products as game prizes as well as kitchen items from Masflex.

The event will be capped off by a free concert featuring the unique sound of Nights of Rizal.

Taste of Australia with Adam Liaw is presented in partnership with METRO, Ayala Malls, Greenbelt, Hilton Manila, Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and Cebu Pacific. The festival is also made possible by Silverwave Corporation, Healthy Valley & MSquared, Wine Depot and Wine Warehouse, Nature’s Harvest, Artisan Cellars and Hightower, Linkage Global, Breville, MLA, Sermasison, Taste Australia, Atlas Global, and Consolidated Dairy.
