Joining them were AusAID Counsellor Peter Jensen (left) and other city government officials. The donation was in response to a request from the city government to provide information and communication technology facilities to elementary and secondary schools affected by Typhoon Frank. Australia also provided a quick response to the needs of typhoon victims through Php20 million in assistance to the Philippine National Red Cross for food aid to 20,000 families (approximately 100,000 persons) in Panay Island and shelter reconstruction for 300 families in the Province of Iloilo.
