Ub Ubbo 2011: An exhibition of artworks by contemporary potters

The Australian Embassy in Manila, Art Informal, Wine Depot and Cav Wine Shop-Café present Ub Ubbo 2011 featuring new works from the Sagada Kiln Project (SKP).

The project, borne through the efforts of Australian artist Sean Cassidy and funded by the Australian Embassy’s Direct Aid Program (DAP), assisted in preserving and sustaining Sagada’s ancient and revered pottery traditions. Since its construction, the kiln has helped to stimulate economic activity in the community and enable local potters to develop and showcase their unique cultural heritage to a wider audience.

Ub Ubbo 2011 potters Lope Bosaing, Siegrid Bangyay, Teresita Baldo & Jesse Degay from Sagada are joined by longstanding supporters from the Putik Potters Association of the Philippines (the national group of Filipino potters) Jon & Tessy Pettyjohn, Joey De Castro, Jo Geraldo and Pablo Capati III.

The exhibition will run from 15-29 November at Cav Wine Shop-Café located at Lot 5, Quadrant 8, Bonifacio High Street in Fort Bonifacio Global City.
