Adult Passport - Replacement

INTRODUCTION:

Replacement passports are issued to those who have limited-to-no visa pages left or the passport has minor damage to it. A replacement passport is valid only until the expiry date of the passport it replaces.

If your passport has more than 2 years’ validity, you may be eligible for a replacement passport.

If your passport has less than 2 years’ validity, you’ll need to apply for a passport renewal (in-person or by-courier options available).

Guide for Replacement Passport Applications:

1. Complete your renewal application form online

  • The application must be lodged within six months of completion.
  • You cannot download blank forms.

2. Print and sign your application form

  • Print your application on plain white A4 paper, using black ink only. Make sure your form has printed in full and isn't cut off at the top or bottom of the page.
  • US standard letter paper or US legal paper sizes are also acceptable, but only if they’re scaled properly. Refer to more information on printing your application form
  • Sign and date the form using black penwithin the signature box.

3. Obtaining Compliant Photos

  • Two recent identical colour photos, taken less than six months from the application submission with your full name and signature written on the back of one photo. Refer to photo guidelines for more information.
  • Your photos do not need to be signed or endorsed by a guarantor.
  • Do NOT attach the photos to the form as this may damage them.
  • If you are unsure of the quality of the photo provided to you, request a digital copy / .jpeg file from the photo studio.
