International Nursing Program

The AU-ECU partnership for Nursing is an official agreement between the two universities wherein a BSN degree may be obtained through the following program options: (1) studying for three years at AU-TNP and one year at ECU; (2) two years at AU College of Nursing and two years at ECU; and (3) one year at ECU for AU BSN graduates who are already Philippine Registered Nurses. AU-TNP students have been taking their final year in ECU since 2011.

This program has a transnational permit from CHED.

Certificate III in Aged Care

The Certificate III in Aged Care offered in the Philippines is aimed at developing skills in a range of areas including: supporting an older person in the activities of daily living, provision of support for individuals with dementia, working effectively with culturally diverse clients and colleagues and providing social, physical and psychological care. This course has an ideal balance of theory and practical learning to ensure the students’ confidence when entering the workforce globally. The employment outcomes include positions such as Assistant in Nursing, Personal Care Assistant, Community Support Worker and Home Care Assistant.

The Certificate III in Aged Care (Theoretical Component) is studied in the Philippines while the Practical Component (On the Job Training) will be completed in Australia. The students will receive the full Australian Qualification – Certificate III in Aged Care upon completing both the theoretical and practical components of the course.

The students who completed the theoretical component of Certificate III in Aged Care from CHARLTON BROWN® Partner Institutions in the Philippines will come to Australia to further their studies in the Community Service Sector under Subclass 572 Visa.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

This qualification reflects the role of professional commercial cooks/chefs who use a wide range of cookery skills, including hygiene, food preparation, kitchen operation and menu creation. Mandatory workplace practice is included in this training program. This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship and traineeship pathway. Recognition to Prior Learning is offered to existing workers or experienced students through the Certify me program.

Graduates can continue to study in the Certificate IV Commercial Cookery for the Kitchen Management Executive Chef positions.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a commercial cook/chef in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias and coffee shops. Possible job titles include: chef de partie, sous chef, commercial cook and commercial catering.

Statement of Attainment in Commercial Cookery

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in kitchens who use a defined and limited range of food preparation and cookery skills. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision. This qualification does not reflect the skills required by commercial cooks. Those skills are obtained when the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is completed. This course offers credits of 9 units into the certificate 111 program.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in kitchen operations in organisations such as restaurants, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes, cafeterias, coffee shops and institutions such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons and schools. Possible job titles include: breakfast cook, catering assistant, fast food cook, sandwich hand, take-away cook.

Diploma of Specialist Make-up

The Diploma of Specialist Make-Up Services is a qualification that reflects a position requiring a competent theoretical knowledge, managerial competency and a specialised and technical skill set that covers the entire process for specialist make-up services for the film, television and entertainment industry. An individual in this role would need to plan, carry out and evaluate work within a range of scales from and entire make-up department to individual freelance work.

Although most candidates seeking this qualification are already highly proficient in general make-up and / or hairdressing skills, it is not a pre-requisite and entry is open to candidates with no lower-level qualifications.

Toyota General Job Automotive Servicing Course

(TESDA National Certificate levels 1-4 and the Technical Education for Automotive Mastery for the 21st Century or TEAM 21)

TMP Tech offers a 2-year regular Automotive Servicing Course – General Job Program, certified by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). At the end of the program, the TMP Tech graduate achieves the equivalent of a Toyota Pro-Technician level. Graduates could also pursue an intensive course that would earn them the Diagnosis Technician level.
