Highlight on contemporary Australian literature

As part of Celebrate Australia Festival 2014, the Australian Embassy and Fully Booked are partnering for a month-long promotion which includes a store display of, and discount on, selected titles of ten highly-acclaimed Australian authors. The promotion includes Markus Zusak’s best-selling novel, The Book Thief. Zusak’s book has been adapted into a feature film and will be presented in a “Read It Before You See It” book club discussion at Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City on Saturday, February 1, starting at 3:00pm. The film will open in Philippine cinemas on February 19.
Australian Ambassador Bill Tweddell discusses the promotion and Zusak’s book with Chris Daez, public relations and publicity manager of Fully Booked, during the start of the Australian book promotion at the bookstore’s branch in Bonifacio High Street. All Fully Booked branches are giving a 20% discount on titles by critically-acclaimed Australian authors until February 26 this year.
